Being in a growing phase, BSEpic has extended its service from photography to short film. Moving towards the advancement, we have launched our second short film “AALUMA DOLUMA”, followed by our first award-winning film “DOCTOR GANDHI”. Furthermore, to portrait the real condition of our poor people of our nation, BSEpic has released this short film on 26th January 2018. AALUMA DOLUMA is a documentary of a little slum boy’s feeling, who is a victim of an economic imbalance. The film lasts for 2.50 minutes and 2 backgrounds are followed: Coloured and black and white pictures. A strong message has been conveyed at the end of the film.
Short intro about the film:
The short film has been starting with the connection of our first short film Doctor Gandhi with the black and white background. The entry of a little boy will be the starting point of the film where he has been sitting behind the grill compound. He is portrayed as he is talking with his friend who is maintained as a secret person. To give a profound feeling, the director has used only the boy’s voice to convey the message of the film. Moreover, to give a deep importance, the boy has been shown in a black and white and others are in colour. When he starts communicative with his friend, he constantly talks about the luxury things and how they feel like. This conveys that the boy is longing for everything which he cannot think of his lifetime. Grill compound can be related as a wall between the rich people and poor people. The boy’s attitude towards life will bring tears to our eyes. Even though he is suffering from poverty and longing for caring and love, his smile shows he is satisfied with what he is having. This message was conveyed when a boy took and ate a single chocolate, he gets from his pocket. At the end of the film, a strong message of the extreme impact of Economical Imbalance in the society has been depicted which will surely melt all our hearts.
This short film truly depicts the discrimination of rich and poor people which is conveyed within a short period of time. Moreover, Director’s touch will be seen in every frame and Background music played a vital role in this film. A little boy, Master KANNAN has scored everyone’s attention with his tremendous acting. Nevertheless, he is new and young; his acting skill is certainly appreciable. As a consequent, this short film has come with depth content of 2 powerful messages: Economic Imbalance and Discrimination of Rich and Poor.
